Community - Hanmer Springs Hot Pools
The Hanmer Springs Thermal Reserve
runs a community sponsorship programme, donating $3000 each year
to individuals, clubs and other community groups.
In addition, the Hanmer Springs Thermal Reserve
makes generous donations to Westpac Trust Rescue, Parafed and the
Special Children’s Christmas Party. The Thermal Reserve also
provides support for local medical services.
Community organisations and events receive
substantial support from the Hanmer Springs Thermal Reserve. Organisations
that have benefited in the past have been the local golf club, the
Fire Brigade, Kids Safe Week and events such as the Mt Isobel Challenge
and the Hanmer Springs marathon.
In addition all local schools and kindergartens
that request donations
are receive family passes for use in raffles. More than 200 of these
are donated every year.
